Water scarcity solutions
Building upon the success of the Water Adaptation Techniques Atlas, Ecoimpact Solutions is working with partners to create novel pathways to implement proven water scarcity solutions across the western United States and in arid regions globally. As part of this effort, we are writing Drying Times: Lessons from the Southwest for a world with less water, to be published by Princeton University Press in late 2027.

drought management planning
Ecoimpact solutions partnered with Bat Conservation International to build a comprehensive drought management plan for ranching and agave planting in the Gila Watershed. The plan calls on scientific data to support adaptive management. The process was applied was featured by the National Drought Mitigation Center.
Data synthesis and publication
Ecoimpact Solutions is partnering with Bat Conservation International to synthesized observed and projected weather and climate data to integrate into a peer-reviewed publication documenting a shift in the range of nectar feeding bats. Environmental DNA analysis in the Gila watershed reveales that bats are moving northward into new territory. Ecoimpact Solutions is coordinating the author team and synthizing the climate and weather data to document a likely reason for the shift. The publication will help protect the new territory upon which the bats rely.
air quality monitoring
EcoImpact Solutions is leading community engagement and coordination for an EPA-funded project to expand air quality monitoring across southwest Colorado. Partnering with Fort Lewis College and the San Juan RC&D Council, we are helping residents access real-time data and engage in local air quality monitoring.
